. Kermanshah Is Pioneer in Construction Rubble Recycling (95/3/23)

As Department of Environment reported in the 3rd day of the celebration of Environment Week, cleansing construction rubble began by Environmental Officials, Municipality of Kermanshah and Recycling and Composting Kermanshah Company in the District 5.
"Kermanshah is pioneer in the household waste and also construction rubble recycling," said Mr. Fereydoun Yavari, Technical Vice in Kermanshah Department of Environment, "We hope this cleansing process will be supported by people and Officials, and the pollution caused by waste and rubble will be eliminated in Kermanshah."
Mr. Rahimi, Urban Services Deputy said: "About 30-40 million tons of construction rubble have been depot. Cleansing this rubble has begun from earlier of this year and so far it has been done in districts 1, 2, 3, and 6, and today we have started this process in district 5 on the occasion of Environment Week. We will also collect all construction rubble in the city by the end of this year that has been named as Clean Earth."
He also emphasized: "However a campaign, called 'Rubble Management Campaign' has been formed and in the form of this campaign all drivers who are active in handling and transporting rubble should take traffic tab, this cleansing will be ineffective unless the culture of shedding rubble and waste would be correct. This serious job requires cooperation of all parts, including Department of Environment, traffic, media and of course citizens."
Kermanshah Governor, Mr. Ranjbar, who came to this cleansing campaign reported of serious collision with people who evacuate rubble and waste in the suburb , and said: "We expect that people inform Municipality, Government, 137 System or Police about the number of default vehicles. In cooperation with Traffic Police, it has been considered heavy fines or even detention for default vehicles."
He explained: "Follow-up is continuing in order to finalize the installation of construction rubble recycling site in the 'Ashraf-Abad' village, which this site will be started to work as soon as the ultimate of the ground with the cooperation of Kermanshah Municipality and City Council."
