Granting Jury Award for the Health Festival to "Mother of the Earth"

The final ceremony of Health Movie Festival was held in Vahdat Hall, Tehran, on August 27, 2017, and Jury Award was granted to "Mother of the Earth" by Mahnaz Afzali.

This documentary has a glance into the life and work of Haide Shirzadi and her husband, Edmund Lempges, who have tried to stop landfill of urban wastes, recycle organic waste into bio-compost and produce compost fertilizer for organic agriculture.

In the following, a commemoration was held for Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, producer of Karestan Documentary Series, by screening a clip. "I am glad to see that there is a sense of satisfaction by watching movies I have made, and these documentaries have a little effect in the society," said Ms. Bani-Etemad.

At the end, Hassan Ghazizade-Hashemi Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Mohammad-Hadi Ayazi Deputy of Social Affairs, Ebrahim Daroughezade Director of 2nd Health Festival, Jahangir Kosari Producer, Houshang Golmakani Cinematic Critic, Fereydoun Jeirani Director and Cinematic Critic and Manouchehr Shahsavari Iran Khane Cinema CEO, granted an Acknowledgment to Bani-Etemad.

In addition, the 2nd Health Movie Festival was held in Tehran from 23-27 August 2017, and two documentaries "Mother of the Earth" by Mahnaz Afzali and "Mahak Founder" by Mohsen Abdolvahab, produced by Mojtaba Mir-Tahmasb, were screened in this Festival.
