Austrian Ambassador visits from Kermanshah Waste Processing & Recycling Plant

Dr. Stefan Schulz, the Austrian Ambassador to the Republic of Austria, along with Dr. Christoph Grab Meier, the Austrian Trade Advisor, visited from Kermanshah Waste Management Project on December 9, 2019.

The Austrian ambassador in Iran emphasized on support for the preservation and continuation of the Barjam and said: "We are trying to support Iran both economically and socially so that is a step towards preserving the Barjam."

By emphasize on Austrian support for the preservation and continuation of the Barjam, Dr.Schulz said to the reporters: "Austria wants the preservation of the Barjam and for this reason I have had provincial trips to Iran and today I am in Kermanshah."

He added: "As part of the European Union and as an Austrian state, we are working to support the Iranian people both economically and socially, and that they can be a step forward in preserving the Barjam."

The Austrian ambassador also described the Kermanshah waste recycling project as a unique waste-recycling project and added: “This project is actually a model project in the field of recycling in Iran”.

He praised the efforts of Dr. Heideh Shirzadi and the municipality of Kermanshah in launching the project, and said: "because this project has environmental impacts, it is known as either a social work, or is an important economic work for the province and the city of Kermanshah."

"We will do our utmost attempt from both Austria and European Union in order to help sustain this project," Schultz said, referring to attendance the Austrian business adviser on the trip.

 

He emphasized: “We believe that the environment and its protection should not be sacrificed for sanctions.”

 

Schultz said that all the universal standards are taken into this project, said that such this project launched in Kermanshah city shows the intellectual growth and maturity of Kermanshah municipality and that this project has been able to continue until now.

He added: “During the exchange of ideas I had with Kermanshah Deputy Director of Urban Services, I was impressed by Kermanshah Municipality's deep and developed view of the environment, which is appreciated.”
